Yann, VNC Viewer 4.x is not based on the old VNC 3.3 system at all. VNC Viewer 4.x has never supported viewer-side scaling. Viewer-side scaling is already available in VNC Viewer Enterprise Edition, however (http://www.realvnc.com/products/enterprise).
