does this exhibit similar behavior when actually sitting at the console
at the office? do you have any way to have the two machines next to each
other to see if the IE window comes up and simply is not displayed
through the vnc viewer? have you tried requesting a screen refresh? have
you disconnected/reconnected after starting IE?

Subject: VNC and IE

Hi All,
Here's my setup. Work PC is WIN200K on LAN, Home PC WINXP on DSL

I use a SSL VPN connection from home to dial-in to work. Once in I use
VNC to access my work PC. I can run just about everything on my work PC
and control from my home EXCEPT Internet Explorer. I launch IE on my
work PC
And get nothing on my laptop. The task bar on my work PC shows it open
but I don't see it open.

Now before you roll your eyes and ask why the heck is he doing that.
There is a real reason why. Our County Web building process uses
DreamWeaver as an editor and a content manager together. The content
manager calls up Dreamweaver for editing the page(s). It was an idea to
do the Web process on the work machine so that I did not have to
purchase Dreamweaver for my home system....

OK with that said anyone have any ideas?

Thanks..hope I didn't confuse anyone..
