Hey guys I know that lot of people ask the same Question about Password restricting and i read about 100 mails about this topic but don't check it.
We have over 150 Client PC in our Domain (WInXP, Win2k). We want to distribute only the WinVNC Programm Files ( wm_hooks.dll; winvnc4.exe; logmessages.dll). I are not allowed to start it as a Service. All Registrykeys should be set via LogonSkripts or during Maschine Installation. The User will start WinVNC if requiered. Sometimes different useres (we don't know who on which computer) acces the Domain. (server site saved profiles). We Only want to get the Password in the HKLM without adding any Usernames in HKLM\SOFTWARE\RealVNC\WinVNC4\<username>. Every client should acces the stored password in HKLM\SOFTWARE\RealVNC\WinVNC4\Default or somewhere non user specified. Is this possible? Does 4.0b have the same structure of the registry keys, because the keys are stored in .....\RealVNC\WinVNC4 ansd not Software\ORL\WinVNC3\ like in V3. I couldnt find any Documentation about the Advanced Settings in v40b4. Could someone write the needed Registry keys to me, or is there no way to store a password for all users on one maschine in the HKLM Key?
