a few days ago, i opened a new case with a cut&paste problem between
vncviewer and the machine it is running.
The server and viewer are the new enterprise editions from RealVNC (4.1.8).
Running on different systems (WinXP, Solaris, Redhat).
I got cut&paste working by starting vncconfig

Try running vncconfig manually and see if that works. It may not be
starting, even though it's in the startup script.

Copy/paste is a server/client settings. Both must be set to cooperate.
There is also appication dependendency as not every X app can take
things from clipboard.
What application are you using, that fails to receive data?
