Can't see why not! Just be sure to turn it down before plugging it in and make
sure it doesn't get turned up later.

Hi all,
Wondering if anyone has experienced the following behavior. I attempted to
port both Local and Toll Free TNs from Charter, on the same day, to my
usual carrier, and was advised by my carrier that Charter uses a unified
system for local and TF ports, and that due to this creating an issue

Looks like a 1 amp, 24v will be enough according to their calculator. So
instead of shelling out $70 for one, I think a 24v poe with 1 amp output
should also work for us if we just grab the right pins on the ethernet
cable.
Anyone see why using a poe wouldn't work? We have lots of Ubiqui
I am not very familiar with a lot of the old Nortels but the ones I have taken
over (MICS and CICS) all have a page port but do supply power. There has always
be an external power supply. Either way you just need a power supply and should
be good.

It was being fed from an old Nortel pbx using rj11. One pair for power and
one for audio.
So really if I can just feed it 24v, the snom should still work if I put in
a line level adapter? Can't I just turn the output way down on the speaker
output to achieve the same thing?

You can use the Snom PA1 with those valcom speakers. You just need to use a
valcom power supply. If the speakers where existing, there is most likely a 24
power supply there now. If not you can order one form valcom. They measure
their power in VPUs, each speaker has a VPU rating. Make sure you
You can still use the Snom PA1 I would think. Just reduce the PA1's output
levels to line level for input into the Valcoms and use a regular 24VDC power
supply to send power. The wires can be terminated directly into each:
