I consider pumping energy to be the means of bringing
moisture to the desert. Seawater could be pumped to
artificial ponds that would evaporate the water to produce
clouds, then rain. Shallow ponds would dry out quickly so
the evaporation would follow the pumping rate. Would
ground compacting equipment turn the salt precipitate at
the bottom salt saturated ponds into an impermeable and
level bed?
