hi folks,
for me as debianer, who needs a quick minimal suse install 8.x/9.x, it
would be nice if one can help me out with a image.
background is the test of CRM/ERP Compiere with an oracle db, which does
not install on debian (sid/sarge/woody)
running on vserver 2.6.6-vs1.9.1, utils 1.92.
TIA

We're giving you a new chance in life, and an opportunity
to screw it up in a new,
on what flavor of debian have you installed oracle (ver. 9R2 or 10g?)
and with which HOWTO?
i tried woody and sid with the howto from the compier-side (woody) and
http://www.the-love-shack.net/oracle-on-sid.html for sid with no
success.
cheers

newer Versions of Oracle need a certified Distro and at least the 10g
installer has some buildin tests to avoid the usage in an uncertified
and Red Hat is one of those uncertified distros.
Result - installation on debian takes ~30 minutes ( because debian admins
are smart;), and
thx, will test tomorow.
30 min you said, ok try to beat it ;-)
