Dear Vyatta Users:
I thought I had a working system with my Vyatta router, where firewall rules
were configured inbound and outbound, but noticed that my statically
configured hosts would be able to access the internet for a period of time,
but then drop their connection. 50% of the time doing
n eth0.
For eth1 you need to set another firewall instance as "OUT" or IN" or
whatever you need.

i have a vyatta router instance with 3 interfaces
eth0 Public leg
eth1 private1 leg
eth2 private2 leg
I of course want to set nat up out bound from priv1 and priv2 and have
had not problem doing so.
I also want to let priv1 talk to priv2 openly until later date when i

If you define a firewall instance "wan2lan" as "OUT" on eth0 then the
implicit deny you've mentioned only applies to eth0 and only to packets
exiting interface eth0 that are not matched by any of your firewall
rules from that instance.
