Hi Stig...
Thanks for the tip... I found bug 2350 which had very thorough documentation
and test plans. Was fascinating to read. I believe disabling vmac helped
my issue.
Thanks!

things to say that I like!
My hosts are dual core amd 64s, with ram to spare so I honestly don't know
if something less powerful would work in a virtualized setup. Guess there
is one way to find out :) but was wondering if anyone had a comment about
that.

plan.
Any considerations regarding this strategy or maybe others are very welcome!

Hello Vyattans.
I've got a home network setup with Vyatta OFR, my wireless router on one
subnet and 3 servers on another. I have been seeing a lot of buzz about BGP
and RIP, and in spite of my reading and googling, I am not totally
understanding what the difference is, what it is they
, so in case of
catastrophic failure, I would likely be able to recover the logs.

Hello again Vyatta users:
I have a block of static IPs from Comcast, of which I am trying to configure
2 of them through my Vyatta router. I can ping in all directions, but it
does not appear that my NAT rule is functioning. I currently do not have
firewall rules set in place.
Here are
Disregard. I took a break, thought about it, then it occurred to me I had a
firewall rule on the server blocking requests. The config file below works
good!

Hi fellow Vyatta users.
Thanks for the previous help with configuring my outbound NAT rule, I am
able to ping from Server 1 to Vyatta and to the internet. Hurray! I
struggled a bit with this, but finally realized that I had to set Server 1's
DNS to Comcast's DNS servers, then all resolved.
