I'm interested in putting together a DVD-ROM setup for my G4 tower and want to know which one Apple uses so I can be sure of it working with the Apple DVD Player. -- I once worked in the woods as a lumberjack, but I just couldn't hack it, so they gave me the ax.

This is the Apple Support number, which you have access to. The number is 133 622. (133-MAC) If you buy a new Mac you get 90 days phone support. If you have AppleCare you have 3 years phone support, including Apple Programs. If you are out of this period they can charge you $75 per incident,

Tony Only one about clashing extensions which I tried but to no avail. I tried changing the 'select hard disk' in the Memory control panel from my System disk to my Work disk (I have 4 partitions) and all seems a lot faster. Saying that, as I am typing this email it is back to its old tricks

Next time it does it press command (apple key) option escape. Mac OS will ask if you want to force quit whatever the application is. You may find that there is a faceless background app or control panel trying to do something it doesn't need to be. Should give you a clue anyway. Hope that's
