Hi WAMUGers
Looking at buying an iMac for xmas.
It comes with 2? ram slots and 1 x 512 module installed I think.
I would like to get lots of RAM for Motion etc.
I can get 2 x 1GB modules for $189 each ( and I guess I throw the 512 one
away).
Is this the best way to go in your opinion please?

Rod,
The new iMac has only one spare memory slot. The 512MB is on the
board, so the max you can install is 512MB + 2GB (DDR2 SDRAM
(PC2-4200)). You can do this via 'build-to-order'.
Cheers,
Peder

I used Mellel for 7-8 months while waiting for Nisus to get their act
together regarding X. I think it's a very good word processor, second
only to current versions of Nisus. Mellel worked well with long
documents, which was a key consideration for me.

Hi All!
Anyone see the Digilife ad on channel 10 last night? It was on during
cough cough Neighbours (my wife watches it! Honest!). It was good to
see one of the resellers advertising on tv, although there was no
mention of Macs at all, just footage. But it did show off the new
store in

I use the My Teller facility to do online banking with StateWest.
Recently they changed their system to one called Phoenix.
Since the changeover I can still access my account but when in the
detailed listing of transactions a click on the Print icon produces
no result. Using IE 5.2.3 on a G4
PROBLEM 1
I have had problems with the fonts in PDF versions of CAD drawings I
have sent to a PC user. I am using the save to Postscript file
option and then converting these to PDF through Preview. On both the
Mac and the PC they look fine (the font used is Arial). Print them

Try printing from Safari File menu. I have done on a few web sites.

Thanks John. I can print the transaction page directly from File -
Print in the browser. However, within the transaction window is a
print button. In the past, clicking that would produce a new window

It is likely that the reason the new window does not appear is because
Safari is blocking pop up windows. Try turning this off in the Safari menu
or by typing cmd-k. I discovered this when using the Bankwest site and
switching (momentarily) to Firefox. Firefox asked me if I wanted to allow
