iMac screen :-(

2006-03-10 Thread Lloyd White
I have a two and a half year old G4 iMac, lampshade model with a 20 inch screen. Yesterday the screen went blank at start-up and I am told by the people at Joondalup that it has gone and a replacement screen cost around $900. I don't want to pay that amount to fix it. The computer is working fine

My version of Mail is Version 2.0.7 (746.2), running Tiger 10.4.5. My preferences look exactly like this screen dump, except that it says 'right away' instead of 'After one week.' If the problem continues, I will change to one of the other options to see if it makes any difference. Cheers

I spoke to iiNet support and then checked my webmail, which I hadn't done before. There were 2800 messages there. I have always had the preferences in Mail set to delete messages from the server right away when downloaded. So why wasn't this done? Has anyone else had a problem with this

Noel Are you using ClarisWorks 5 or AppleWorks 5.? If AppleWorks 6 is open then generally a double click on an AW5/CW5 will open the file saying of course that it was created by an older version. Another way to open is to use the Open from the File menu. A third way is to use Save As in AW5/CW5

Hi, I'm running an eMac 10.3.9, iTunes 6.0.4 and an iPod 30gb photo. I started having problems a few days before the latest iTunes update came out earlier this week, with iTunes not quitting and it not being able to find the library. Now with the iTunes update, I get the error message "the iPod
