iMac can't find built-in camera

I've got an iMac 2.1Ghz G5 with a built in camera. Photo Booth knows the camera is there, and it works fine. iMovie doesn't. It reports No camera attached. This problem is reported quite a few times it seems, but I haven't found a solution. Any ideas? iMovie 5.0.2 (111) OS X 10.4.9 Glenn.

Computer keeps restarting on shutdown
