Hi Michael,
You don’t need to print it … just 'Save as PDF', then read it and when finished
reading just trash it if no longer needed.
File Print - click the PDF button then Save As PDF ( save it to your
desktop). This way you save the trees ;-)

Hi James,
I would if I knew what you actually mean ;-))
I did a search through the hundreds of emails I’ve posted since Lion, but can’t
seem to find anything relative to ‘light arrows’ or darker desktop icons.
You don’t mean Colour Sidebar icons in Finder Sidebar and in iTunes?
I’ll have a
Hi Michael,
This is complete non-sense. Since the data is stored in the cloud it is stored
most likely somewhere overseas. As such it falls into the jurisdiction of
somebody else. Since we don't even know where the data is stored the end-user
has little idea of who else has access to the data.
Hi Alex,
Your opening sentence is not strictly correct unless it refers to your own
email, in which case you are being a bit too hard on yourself. :-) I was
pointing out that iCloud information is confidential in that Apple undertakes
to keep this information confidential. Security is a whole
Hi WAMUGers,
I had a member send me this query offlist and to save him my charge for an
‘offlist’ reply, and for the benefit of other members I will reply to the list.
Query:
“Do you happen to know whether it is normal that I have a VM Size of 240GB (a
quarter of total hard drive space)?

Hi Alex,
This is bound to be a contentious point and one, no doubt, that the anti-Apple
press will try to get as much mileage out of as they can by claiming that Apple
is a closed system and that Windows and Android are open. So it is important to
look at the what Apple is actually
Excellent reply Carlo,
I too have been doing a lot of reading and research on Mountain Lion and its
security.
I’m very impressed with the way Apple is moving into the future with OS X,
especially with security.
There are ‘cosmetic’ things I don’t particularly like about Lion I guess
There's a pretty good 2min run through of 30 new features of Mountain Lion.
Can access it from here:-

Sounds like there's some nice new features.
Bit sad to see it change from Mac OSX to
Hey Daniel,
I'd be more concerned with Google's security
You mean Google’s insecurity... non-security = NO security :-))

Just yesterday my WoW account was hacked. This isn't really something that
bothers me since I haven't played in ages but I am concerned about how it was
hacked because I want to know if my bank account might be at risk from online
shopping/banking.
I consider myself to be reasonably tech
Or perhaps he meant Google's insincerity in their mantra, don't be evil.

Hi Ruben,
Are you using a Wireless Network with WPA2 Security?
A lot of WoW accounts have been hacked in the past from people using Open Wi-Fi
Networks.
Check your System Preferences Security - General that you have selected
“Automatically update safe downloads list”.
Checking this box in the

Good afternoon everyone
Just recently a question was asked, in regards to adding a personal Photo to
the e-mail, as per Ronda's photo.
I went looking for archives but alas no good. I have tried to work it out
myself but haven't been too successful . How do I attach my photo to my e-mails
Hi Tony,
To get an ID photo in your emails you need to attach a photo to your personal
card in Address Book. To do that proceed as follows:
1) If it's not already there, add a card to Address Book with your name and
email address.
2) From the system menu for Address Book, select Card Make
Hi David,
This is not really an appropriate post for a Mac User Group.

Says who? Not every mac user is an iPhone owner.I have a Nokia N9, for
example. Or you might find there are a few iOS devs here that are looking to
branch out into Android ;)

Of course, Rob, Mac users are welcome to use whatever phone they chose, but
please be thoughtful enough to respect the conditions of the WAMUG mailing list
and post your non Mac / iPhone queries to a different list.
Cheers,
Carlo

Don't worry Carlo...I get Rob all the time. Was just having a bit of fun :)
I'm just stuck in 2000 when the list membership was a lot bigger, and the rules
were a little more liberal. David, in that case throw the Nexus up on
Overclockers. At that price, it should sell
