Apple TV, iMac and Sound Preferences Update on this issue. I left Apple TV on and shut down my iMac. On starting up again, the Sound preferences did not reveal the internal speakers only Apple TV. I disconnected Apple TV , but that did not change the preferences. I did a restart and once again

Hi Ronni, Yes, the iMac is connected by Ethernet to the Netgear Router ( ADSL2+) DG834N. and the ATV is using its wifi. Right now SOUNDOUTPUT is showing both Internal Speakers and ATV. I don't yet have an Airport Express. I can switch between ATV and internal speakers until I shut down and
