Do any listers use Thunderbird? I like it except for one annoying
feature which I have not been able to fix. It has an Inbox scoll bar
across the top which replaces the regular inbox/mail in tab.
Most annoying when I have to scroll back through all the emails in to
get to inbox.

Hi Kevin
I use Thunderbird (24.3.0) and I can't understand what your issue is. I
don't have a scroll bar across the top.
Check out the View Menu and Layout Options. Also possibly Toolbars.
I use the Classic layout. Tabs across the top, Folders down the left;
Mailbox at top right and message
Ok, another tip, connect your iPad with lead to iTunes then go in to the
Summary tab and select Backup this iPad over wifi. Then it will happen
automatically and always be current.
You must set this config in place with it physically connected to the iMac.
Good luck!

Hi Pat,
In Mavericks, any display can be the active display. You can tell which one is
active by looking at the Menu Bar at the top. The active display will be crisp
and white while the non-active display will have a Menu Bar that is dimmed and
translucent.
Not sure if this is what you want.
Hi Ronni,
First Question: Yes. Once it was added to my network, I took it to the DVD
Recorder in another room and it worked fine.
I set it up at my mother’s in Client Mode.
But then when I plugged it into her DVD Recorder in another room I just got the
flashing orange light.
I just had a
Thanks for the tip, Pete, that is a good one to use. I have not worried
greatly with iPad backing up as anything important I send to the iMac for
central filing and backup and purchased apps can all be recovered and all
emails come in via the iMac (including Mum’s). By now I guess you are o
Hi Stephen,
Do the same as you did on your DVD Recorder.
I then followed the instructions to set up Internet Access on my own DVD
Recorder as a test (as Brian suggested).
That worked fine and I was able to watch iView etc on my DVD Recorder.

Thanks Ronni - next trip I will do that !
Sorry about the ongoing thread - I just hate giving up !
It’s a last resort for me.
Especially when my Windoze-centric brother is hovering waiting to say “I told
you so”.

Any email informing you of problems on your private computer has to viewed with
great suspicion. Just launch Google Chrome (if you use it at all) and check for
updates. Do not follow links in email.

Good Morning,
When I view a month in calendar, it shows the events for any day, but not
the time I have entered unless I click on individual events. I haven't
been able to find a way of showing times on the full month view. Can
anyone help, please?

Hi Jennifer,
Does on my Calendar (Mavericks) I use Month View - In Month view it shows the
time of the event it should show up in the upper right side of the day.
If yours is not showing - The page (window) size must be made quite large to
show the times.
If it is too narrow, the event times
