Elements 6 simply would not open. I uninstalled it and tried to install it again, but even though I haven’t assigned a password to that iMac it would not complete the installation. bootstrapper.dmg>assets>setup> notice saying ’setup wants to make changes. Type in your password to allow this’.

Wow... So I would guess the upgrade to Photos.app from iPhoto.app is the cause. I've updated my 17" MBP to OS X 10.10.3 with Photos.app but at the moment I'm leaving my MBA at OS X 10.10.2 with iPhoto.app So far there is not much I like about Photos.app. I would have liked to see and hear Peter
