I have a MacBook Air 13 inch, Mid 2011 with Mac OS 10.7.5 El Capitan 10.11.6 on
it.
I would like to wipe MacBook Air’s drive and re-establish El Capitan on it.
(Why I need to do this is a longer story)

But just wondered why you would not use Apple Maps that is on your iPhone by
default ?
A few months ago the Choice Consumer Group tests for Sat Navs gave Apple Maps
the highest points.
It beat all the regular brand Sat Navs.

If I download the maps (google maps) then drive for 12 hours running Google
Maps the entire time with phone NOT on Airplane mode - will this use my data up?
