iMac prblems/Jaguar 10.2.8

Hi All I 've installed Jaguar 10.2.8 on a iMac rev A 233 hd4 gig ram 160. The problem is that some times the screen goes blank and have to hit reboot it. Could it be to insuffient ram to support the screen and OS. I was running OS 9.2.2 with no problems so i don't think it's the mother board
