Hi Chris, I use mine for this sort of thing all the time. You'll need some sort of hands free device so the phone is not in the drivers hand. The hired GPS will probably talk to you and give turn by turn directions. Go for that if it's what you prefer. They work well and aren't hard to use.

Sounds like you may have purchased the wrong kind of disks. Does the label on the package specifically say that they are for ink-jet printers? Our last stationary supplier stuffed us around with this exact problem. He substituted disks suitable only for a laser printer or something like that.

Hi Matt, The local Video Ezy store offered to repair any scratched CDs or DVDs I have. Apparently they have some sort of polishing machine that they use when rental disks get scratched. Might be worth asking your local store if they are willing to have a go at your disks. Cheers Paul On

Hi Adrian, Sounds to me like you are trying to record NTSC output on a PAL VCR. The VCR may be able to play NTSC tapes or display the incoming NTSC signal but it may not be able to lay the signal down on tape. If it is possible to change that dip to PAL your problem may disappear. Good luck
