It seems that the Googles wild west attitude to smartphones is coming back to bite them. There is a plague of malware on Android phones while most owners don't even know their phone is compromised. A careful reading of the article also shows that there is no malware on an iPhone that has not been jailbroken -- though articles often claim that malware is part of life for all smartphone owners by using jailbroken iPhones as an example.
