They are probably using old numbers. Apple is rising so fast it's hard to keep
up. So here's a link to warm your heart, and this article is from back in
September when Apple was somewhere around $290 per share. Today it is $315 per
share.

It depends which measure you use. Peter is talking about market capitalization
-- the product of the number of shares outstanding and the share price. Apple
passed Microsoft earlier this year in terms of market capitalization but was at
the time, still behind it in revenue and profit.
