Hi all!

Well over half of the year already gone and there's been another
exciting release from Apple with the Mighty Mouse, but more on that
later.

The 'Cell' recently made a public debut to a standing-room only
audience at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC).
The Cell has been described as a "supercomputer on a chip", and its
"multi-core" design architecture leapfrogging the current single
microprocessors. The "multi-core" design allows chips to run more
efficiently, use less power and generate less heat.

The processor is made up of one PowerPC Processing Element (PPE) and
eight Synergistic Processing Elements (SPEs). The PPE feeds the
instructions to the SPE's. The SPE's are able to work independantly of
the other SPE's which results in eight tasks being run simultaneously.

Beneficiaries of the 'Cell' may include devices requiring huge
processing in realtime, such as multi-channel HD broadcasting programs,
as well as mega-pixel digital still and movie images captured by
high-resolution CCD/CMOS imagers. But the first is expected to be the
Playstation3 - this will be a huge leap in processing power. When will
it make its way into the Mac? We'll have to wait and see!

Heard of Dashboard? Well Yahoo has bought Konfabulator (like Dashboard)
which provides a platform for small "widgets" that show news headlines,
weather data, and stock information among other things on a user's
desktop. And they've made it free for both Mac and Windows users - see:
<http://www.konfabulator.com/> to download it.

Is the Mouse Mightier than the sword? In Apple's case it certainly is.
Apple have put more functionality into this mouse than most
multifunction mice out there. It has also been specifically designed to
work with Tiger. Read all about it at:

Want to upgrade your 120GB drive to a 200GB drive for FREE! Well I have
a special request from a customer. They have a Western Digital 120GB

recovery they require an identical drive bearing the same model number
and DCM number as MLD: WD1200JB-00CRA1 & DCM: HSEHNA2CH respectively.
For your troubles, you will receive a 200GB drive in exchange. These
details are printed on the white sticker on the drive and any initial
