it seems that the play time is approx 45m
12gig dvd stream is near 60 min play time.
i've downloaded a file of 570 meg = 61min playtime (tv show) that
would blow up to near 13gig in size if converted to dv

Simpler to take the DV stream file straight into Toast, unless you
want to play around with fancy menus and the like
