The majority of macs used at ecu are used within the school of
communications and mulitmedia, which revolves around a mac os environment.
Too my knowledge the majority of computers used at ecu outside of scam are
windows based pcs. I don't think the IBM contract will have any effect on
scam's syst
As a guess I'd say this would be for Admin (HRM, student services
etc)and those academic school supported by the central IT division.
If so this would be simply a situation of IBM pretty much picking up
were Comtech left off and before that Digital.

No, this is all about IBM taking care of the Windows Standard Operating
Environment (SOE). ECU still big Mac users with no plans to dump them.

I just read in a publication from Edith Cowan Uni that they have formed an
alliance with IBM, and that Big Blue won the contract to supply ECU with
computers. ECU were big users of Macs (remember that really big order a few
years ago) and I wondered if they were deserting Apple altogether?
