Tried Opera and no luck with St George. Couldn't get past the banks home page.

I set Mozilla as default via Safari but Eudora would not divorce IE.
Next I downloaded Firefox and that sets itself as default browser if
the box is ticked in its preference.
Eudora would not respond to even a fired up fox.

you need to start Safari and go to Preferences under Safari in main
menu bar. The top pref is for default browser. This is what I did
when I wanted to use Firefox. If someone knows of a more direct Apple
system way of doing it, I would like to know! There doesn't seem to be
