Thank you Peter H, Craig and Alex. I set Mozilla as default via Safari but Eudora would not divorce IE. Next I downloaded Firefox and that sets itself as default browser if the box is ticked in its preference. Eudora would not respond to even a fired up fox. Last resort - read Help in Eudora

Hi Merv you need to start Safari and go to Preferences under Safari in main menu bar. The top pref is for default browser. This is what I did when I wanted to use Firefox. If someone knows of a more direct Apple system way of doing it, I would like to know! There doesn't seem to be anythi
