Lacie models was one ,Will it work on my iMac as i notice it has USB version
2.0 - is it irrelevant?

Yes.
USB 2 devices are backwards compatible with USB 1
And there is no USB 2 support in any Mac (or the Mac

I had one of these for about 6 months (before I left the company) and found
