I recently read a Macosxhints article that mentioned using Mac Drive (an application that allows PC's to read Mac drives) on a PC to recover data from an HFS+ disk. Today I had the chance to try it as I could not read a drive even with "Data Recovery" under Mac OS. I tried the drive in firewire target disk mode, on the internal bus of a couple of different Macs and in a firewire case and no joy with any utility. Couldn't mount it and every utility crashed when trying to talk to it. As a last resort I then put it in a USB 2 case and connected it to a PC running XP with Mac Drive installed and booya! Popped up with a little warning about the disk not being out away properly last time it was used but all the data was readable! Amazing. Very happy client :) Happy days Rob
