Yes, Safari on some pages seems to fail to recognise button clicks on
form buttons, possibly due to some JavaScript interaction that Safari
doesn't fully support.

I wonder if the pages HTML is valid. Can you open it in iCab and check?

A commercial page with valid HTML? Have you ever found one, Shay? ;-)

Curiously, though, Safari (v85) posts a message just fine on UWA's WebCT from here. There's either something different about Curtin's version, or
something different about Ruben's system. Odd that IE doesn't work for
him either. Here, both IE and Safari work, but Icab can't post (though
it views the pages just fine).

UWA webct page says "Version 3.8 Campus Edition"
Curtin's webct page, whilst it looks different, also proclaims itself to
be version 3.8

In summary: This wasn't terribly helpful, was it? I have no idea what's
going on, either; just providing datapoints.

There is also the point that I used to be able to post messages on WebCT. So something has had to have changed in order to cause my problem.
I will try the HTML check with iCab soon when I can find the time.
