Dear WAMUG'ers, I know that this is probably not the right place to ask, but just in case one of our group can help with this request please.
A friend on mine urgently need an AT 286 in good working order. His old 286 was used with a specialised application to run a machine he uses in his workshop, but the PC just died on him. Failing obtaining a AT 286, he thinks that possibly a 486 could be used provided the clock speed is slowed down to that of a 286, if that can be done. Can any of you help? Or advise me where to look or who to contact? I'll be grateful for any help. Please reply direct as this is not really a Mac subject.
