I'll add "Not Belkin" as well. I've got a 2-port USB one with in
built cables at work and it's terrible. Sometimes it switches with no
warning and even when you do switch it takes about 5 seconds before
the keyboard and mouse work.

Must be Mac compatible, use USB and the older VGA monitor 15 pin plug
style, 2 port or more.
