Command+Option+Shift+V is Paste Match Style
Apple are making these changes to OS X so Macs work with sync notifications
etc to all our iOS devices.

I drag/dropped your signature into a new message in Mail, and moving blocks of
text behaved properly in the body of the mail message.

text, hold the mouse down and move it, it would move the text not duplicate it?
