Its a 6 Gb HD so you may be onto something as the other machines were 9GB and 12Gb and they run panther fine. It has the latest firmware for G3 towers, 1.1 and I'm trying to install the basic 10.3 from CD but on some of my CD installers causes its open firmware console to launch. I have an 8.5

Can anyone tell me why my G3 300mhz unit with 256MB RAM doesn't boot on Mac OS X start up disc or copies on the HD? It just sits with the Apple Logo and spinning disc thing :P -Christian
