Just recently I have been having problems when putting blank CD's into my eMac and G4 iBook.
The eMac is set to use Roxio's Toast Lite when a blank CD is loaded in the drive tray. However when I try to put a blank CD in to record onto, the Toast Lite icon appears in the dock for 2-3 bounces then disappears. The black CD never shows on the desktop either. So I can't use the desktops built-in CD burning abilities. The iBook relies on just the Desktops CD burning abilities, but as with the eMac the disk will not show up on the desktop either. The machines: G4 eMac 384MB RAM, Combo Drive, Mac OS X 10.3.2 G4 iBook 384MB Ram, Combo Drive, Mac OS X 10.3.2 Have tried the following media: Generic CD-R (from Applecentre) Verbatim CD-R Verbatim CD-RW Any help appreciated.
