It seems to me that if the manufacturer says that a scanner will work on a
Mac then there is a very good chance it will. I guess a good practice is
not to accept goods which have been opened, lest some elf has helped
themselves, or take a look in the box when purchasing to make sure the

Canon have released a beta of Scangear for X. but it only supports a few
models at the moment. The N670U is one of them.
PLE computers in Wangara price the Canon 1250U2F at $319. This
scanner has a carrier for 35mm film only.
I have an Epson 1640SU which has a variety of carriers for film and
slides up to 5"x 4".
