Hi all,
I'm looking at upgrading my partner's Macbook RAM but am unsure what I need to
be getting. Is there a site that shows the maximum capacity for RAM ? What
information do I need to be considering?
The Macbook's specs:
Macbook 3,1
2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 x 512Mb 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
Hi Callum,
www.crucial.com has a nice tool for this - you can install one or use their
search tool.
If I'm right, you can put up to 4GB in that machine with 2 times PC 5300/667
SODIMM chips.

Hi Callum,
You can always try the neat application called Mactracker. You can download
from Versiontracker or try
www.mactracker.ca
This will give you every Mac ever produced and lots of information relating
to RAM, Hard drives etc
Hope this helps,

If you have a battery pack that is detachable on the back- I'm not sure what
year your book is- lift out the battery and then you should be able to see
three little screws that hold a thin strip unscrew them and there you have you
will see the slots for RAM -they click out with a latch ground
