Hi Ken, We’ve seen this before after a firmware update didn’t complete or sometimes even a security update. First try booting and holding the power button until the light flashes. If that doesn’t fix it you may have hard drive errors (what I suspect since you’ve reinstaled Tiger). Try Diskwarrior

Hi Ken You should try resetting the cuda/pmu See for instructions. Remember this happening on a few of our G5s a long time ago when we had powerfailures. They would start up with fans roaring and no screen. Hope it helps Frank On 28/07/11 3:32 PM, "Ken J
