Logitech have released a diver for their credit card sised "Pocket
Digital" camera (some time last month?). interestingly they didn't
announce it on Versiontracker nor could I find any reference to it
(press release etc) in their site apart from the link on the products
page
<http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?countryid=1&languageid=1&page=products/details&CRID=4&CONTENTID=5038>
Seems to work a treat and have successfully downloaded from the
camera in to iPhoto and quality is what you'd expect for 1.3
megapixels not great but good enough for "photo's of opportunity"
Why am I posting this -
Well for one Logitech has for years stated quite bluntly in their
support and "about product" pages that they do not support or develop
camera product drivers for platforms other than MS... obviously the
left hand don't know what the right hands doing or they are quietly
sneaking in Mac OSX support.
The other reason is that Office Works currently have them for $99
down from around $260, this is not "sale pricing". I suspect it's a
run out price as I just picked up the last one from Subiaco's Office
Work and the guy said that to the best of his knowledge they would
not be restocking it, guess if you ring around you may find one left
at another store
After I informed our local Mac clique about the price (saw it this
morning when I went to buy stationary) every man and his dog (OK,
three other people) wanted me to buy one for them - unfortunately for
them there was only the display model left and that is now mine :) .
