Doing a clean and throw of old stuff from my personal IT hoardings I have a couple of old G3 iBooks and an even older Duo Dock laptop sitting around doing nothing. If anyone want's to grab them for parts or project or what ever please feel welcome to email me off list.
Sorry can't remember the exact specs on any of these three. Both the iBooks boot up (I think I have 10.3 or 10.4 on them) but have intermittent internal monitor failure issues (probably backlight) , that said when I was using them as network testing stations about a half year back they ran for weeks at a time without backlight issues and they work fine on external monitors when they did occasionally lose the backlight. There's one mini vga to vga adaptor that will fit either of them. The Duo Dock I last booted it up about 2 years ago I believe it runs system 9 but I don't know if it still boots. It had all the externals - docking station and monitor, keyboard/mouse stolen about 5 years back (would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when they tried to boot that up sans processor) No installer disks or other media for any of these units. There are only 2 power supplies (the old "yo-yo" style units) between the three computers but I might have a third one in my obsolete spare parts box at work. Obviously at this age none of them can function on their included original batteries. Free for the taking, I'd prefer someone to grab the lot but will split otherwise. Can be picked up Yokine/Mt Hawthorn area evenings or from UWA during the week. ________________ mark.sec...@uwa.edu.au Mark Secker (Ba. Bus.
