repairing disk keeps coming up with
Error: Could not unmount disk
I did a web search about this error message, and it was suggested
that I eject the disk from Finder

which I did then
started repair

disk1s3 is the generic name you are seeing.
In Disk Utility
Select the volume “disk1s3"
Then go to “Info”
Copy & Paste the information in an email to WAMUG please.
You did take this disk out and reset it as Daniel ment
