Some of the figures in that article were not in accordance with numbers
from neutral international observers. It said "thousands and thousands"
were killed at Sabra and Shatila. The most believable number is under
1000. Still terrible, but, also, the circumstances of that incident and
several others in the article are presented with an obvious bias.
Bad things happen in armed conflict and the USA is not perfect. But some
of the incidents and battles we have fought were fully justified, unless
someone sees things through the eyes of a total peacenik who thinks we
should turn the other cheek in every circumstance.
Any article that tries to sell the notion that 9/11 was not the work of
Muslim extremists but was somehow concocted by the US Governent is just
plain discredited from the start. Tendentious fiction isn't helpful to
gaining an understanding of the world's ills.
