I prefer watir over other libraries, but there are some clear advantages
from Selenium. Watij and Watin are better for people using those languages
regularly (java and .net respectively).

i also heard from multiple sources that it is always better to use csv
files instead of excel files . What do you guys say ?

I'm not sure how much current work has been done on Watin or Watij, it
really all depends on what language you want to work in. Personally I
prefer Ruby, but if your Developers are using .net or Java it might
be easier to use something which has the same language so they can
mentor you.
