Eric, Mr. Mustin played a cat burgler in another Dragnet episode. He talked
pretty tough but there was humor in it as well.

I had asked what Mayberry resident had the same name as a popular rock band
at the time. Hard question and a bit tricky. So now, I'll make it a little
easier with a couple of hints:
1. This was the name of a recurring Mayberry character and it was the exact
full name of the band.
2. The Ma
For anyone who has read a lot of Mayberry trivia, like the book "Mayberry
101", you will know that Opie was named after Opie Cates who had a very popular
band in the 30's and 40's. Opie Cates also had a radio show in 1947 for a
short time. He began every show by saying "The dog gonest th
I see Clint Howard (Leon) every now and then. Apparently he works fairly
often. He has a reoccurring role in the series "My Name Is Earl," and
was really good in a starring role in the independent film, "Alabama
Moon." I always tell my daughter, "Look, there's little Leon!"

John Dehner, the medicine man who got all the ladies smashed with his
tonic, was killed by Gary Cooper in a movie a couple days ago. It was a western
so I don't think they used real bullets since there was no blood.
He could have used some of his magic elixir to fix hisself up again!
