We got a few inches of snow here in Cincinnati, and it did slow us down a bit.
I always think about the fact that midwesterners are amused by folks in the
south dealing with snow. But at the same time, I'm sure there are folks in
Michigan and Canada that are amused by us Buckeyes dealing
Hey, Mayberry friends. It' amazing when you find Mayberry alumni without really
trying. While channel surfing today I came across Police Academy 2 (1985)
right at a scene where Ralph Neal (Arthur Bantanides, Barney's Bloodhound)
and Romeena (Jackie Joseph, My Fair Ernest T.) were the parents of
I caught a couple of episodes of the Green Hornet on the SyFy Channel last
night. I did see them Britt and Cato drive past the Grand Theater one and on
an
overhead shot you could tell the streets weren't paved. Besides the buildings
I
couldn't spot any Mayberry Alums.

but they could build a fire in the fireplace and sit around and admire Otis'
cow mozaic over the fireplace.
You know, that got me to thinking and I've been thinking hard as I can, but I
can't recall the Taylor's ever having a fire in the fireplace. I know they
must have burned wood because
MSN has a slide show of the greatest sidekicks and Mayberry's Barney Fife
came in second, Tonto was first.
I think they should have considered Sidekicks who had sidecars - Barney
couldn't be beat.

I was watching The Green Hornet reruns yesterday afternoon and saw a building
that looked very familiar. Seconds later, there was the hotel, then the court
house.
I noticed that when the camera went past the Taylor’s house (to camera right)
there was a building that looked like maybe sound
Veteran character actor Peter Hobbs died January 2, a couple weeks before his
93rd birthday. He appeared in two episodes of TAGS, Big Brother as 'Mr.
Tracy' and Helen's Past as 'Mr. Lockridge.' Mr. Hobbs was also in two
episodes of USMC, Daughter of the Sarge and Gomer the Would-Be Hero.
