I missed some posts June 3 - June 11 but did a little catchin' up and now
I'm a caught up fan!!
I attended my reunion of Veterans and Former Residents of Midway Island,
where I served from July 19 1957-July 24, 1958.
We all had a wonderful time and some wonderful Mayberry Moments. I carried
Four sightings just today. On Wagon Train actress Darlene (Ruta Lee) was
there. On Gunsmoke Ken Lynch (various cops) made an appearance, on Bonanza
Mayor Stoner played some town official of Virginia City, and one I didn't
expect, on Rawhide Aunt Bee made an appearance.

It's very possible that convertibles were deliberately chosen because it's
easier to film characters seated in an open car. If there are, say, four
people in a car and the camera is on the driver, the person in the back seat on
the other side would be hard to see.
