Howard Morris died in Sept. 2005. He had been to Mayberry Days in '03 and
we had looked forward to seeing him again, but he got sick and didn't make
it back, then died in '05. Sad day in the neighborhood!

Watching the 1945 version of State Fair last night, starring Dick Haymes
and Jeanne Crainethe announcer in the hog judging pavilion was John
Dehner, the Colonel, and he didn't have any elixir with him! And the judge who
gave Mr. Frake the Blue Ribbon? Have mercy, it was Ben Weaver!! One
Watching the old 1995 movie "Last of The Dogmen" with Tom Berengersaw
an old guy in it who looked kind of familiar and sounded even more familiar.

The surprise guest was someone who started going to Mayberry Days at age 8
and is now 19, is confined to a wheelchair, basically, and has made a ton
of friends at the Days! For everyone who has met Kyle Butler we are so
proud to say he received the Key to Our Hearts award and Plaque last nig
Hit the downtown about 7:45 and got a parking spot on Main st., ate our
breakfast and got ready for the parade. It started right on time and what a
parade it was! Longest so far at just over an hour! I think our first one back
in '98 was about 20 minutes. After the parade we roamed in a few st

Could be Mayberry Squad Cars in North Carolina get away with having red

While on a recent trip to Alaska, we visited a Sea museum. They have a

I would like to tell you of my own Mayberry town where I grew up.
We lived on the edge of town on a small farm, 45 acres, and could walk to
the middle of town in about 20 minutes. We had 5 churches, 6 service stations,
