I just finished reading a book that reminded me of "Andy and Don" (which I
thoroughly enjoyed).Although it was not TAGS related it may be of interest to
some of you as it was about the stars of another 60's TV show-Star Trek.It is
"Leonard" by William Shatner. In the book Mr. Shatner talks
I've recently been listening to podcasts from Old Time Radio Westerns and have
really been enjoying hearing Howard McNear as "Doc".
He also shows up on quite a few Old Time Radio programs.

I never did care for the character of Ernest T. Bass. He was just too over the
top and too downright silly. So my least favorite was any episode that featured
him.

Saw Ronny Howard in an episode of Daniel Boone this weekend on INSP.
He played an orphan with an attitude.

As far as disguises--how about when Barney's judo teacher wore Barney's old
salt and pepper suit and pretended to be him?

I just saw Anita Courset on an episode of Bonanza on TVLand where she played
the daughter of an orthodox jew. She showed quite a range of talent and
emotions in the role.
She also had her hair down rather long which was quite becoming on her.

Jackie from Rosanne always reminded me of Baney, too. Especially in the
episodes where she was a cop she had Barney's swagger and air of self
importance.

I couldn't help thinking of Barney when I heard on a local radio station that a
concert of light classics was being perfomed.
One of the selections would be Tico Tico. I don't know whether they will be
singing acapella or not.

One hears alot about how TAGS was a show that had good morals and that many of
the episodes had a lesson to be learned. I am a big fan and love the show.
I've noticed, however, that sometimes the lesson learned was that it is better
to deceive or trick someone than to tell the truth.
The AMC channel was showing Marlon Brando movies all day the other day.
Had a sighting of Will Wright aka Ben Weaver in The Wild One. He looked and
acted just like Ben.
He wore the same hat and all.

Was Ronnie Schell ever on TAGS?
I see his appearances listed in The Bullett occasionally but don't know what
his assocation is with TAGS.

Maybe I'm not as trained a noticer as you all, but I can't recall seeing an
episode (or episodes)where Thelma Lou's last name is mentioned. Is her last
name ever given?

I happened to see an epsiode of Matlock the other day. I had never watched
the program when it was on it's original run.
Don Knotts made an appearance in a few scenes. It was great to see the Andy
Don together.
Was he a regular on this show or was this just a one time thing?
