I remember in my youth that the local J.J. Newberry's had a little lunch counter. Thinking back, this small lunch counter was cute as a button with it's red leather circular stools and a complete condiment rack for every seat. Cold sandwiches, hamburgers, coffee and malts.... The ladies behind the counter wore beige uniforms and white aprons. I felt like a real big shot the first time I hopped up on the stool to order a chocolate malt (I was seven at the time). Ahh... the good ol' days!!
