It was a brisk winter wind, blowing in that night, a special feeling all around, everyones heart was so light. It was Christmas eve, in a small Southern town, Mayberry it was called, by all those around. The Taylors live there, Barney Fife does too, so do Floyd, Goober, Howard and our dear Thelma Lou. The presents are all wrapped, the egg nog has been made, Otis is snug in his cot, Ernest T in his cave. Oh how they love Christmas, & the joy that it brings, & they love to sing carols, of the newly born King. Christmastime is so special, its a time to share love, for it was given many years ago, from our dear Father above. So from Andy & Opie, & everyone in this town, may your Christmas be bright, & may your love always abound.
