I just saw a few moments ago in the tvland marathon for Sunday, Stranger In
Town. i saw a very nice touch of realism. possibly it was meant to be but
possibly it was an oversight . Heres the scene my Mayberry friends: The
Barber Shoppe with Floyd (Walter Baldwin..sorry folks) taking a seat as Andy
demonstrates to Barney sitting in the barber seat. Look in the mirror and
youll see Walter Baldwin staying in character along with a bit actor,
looking still deeply puzzled over the sideburn routine. now Im the type who
pinpoints hidden secrets or errors or realismn unintended in any given tv
series. I thought to myself, its highly unlikley the director told Floyd
Baldwin "Now Walt youre out of the scene but youll still be caught on camera
thru our barbershoppe mirror so please stay in character as the camera will
pick up your expression. " I prefer to think Walter Baldwin stayed in
character regardless to keep that flow going in the scene tho he knew he
wouldnt be seen in "the scene.' Makes sense to me. And bad as WB was Floyd,
I give him credit for giving that scene more credibility. Just something i
picked up from years of experience as well as tidbits shared with me thru
actors on movie and tv sets. Finally I want to apologize for saying
yeesterday, there will be no Tvland Marathon this weekend. The weekend tv
guide thru Sunday had those 2 other shows as mentioned slated but leave it
to tvland to again not get their priorities together. They constantly make
last minute changes . TAGS marathon continues for Monday so Tvland said
tonight. Thanks Allan and God Bless all of you. Tom Kessel Col.Tims Protege
Reject.
